FAMILY ART WORKSHOPS
with Joyce Raimondo

Guided by Joyce Raimondo, Family Art Workshops for children ages four to twelve and parents are given in famous artists' studios in East Hampton!

Book-signing follows each workshop.

PAINT IT OUT! at THE POLLOCK-KRASNER HOUSE and STUDY CENTER

Spatter it! Drip it! Discover how famous artists Jackson Pollock and Lee Krasner invented new ways of painting. Explore their art and studio, and then drip and pour paint onto huge paintings outdoors on the spectacular grounds of their home.

The same workshop will be repeated on Saturdays, 10:00-11:30 am

Registration per class $30 per child, $30 per adult.

Space is limited on a first come-first served.

In case of rain, tour is held at Pollock House and studio. Drip painting portion of program is held at an artist's studio in Springs.*

FAMILY ART WORKSHOPS

Held in art studios of East Hampton artists

Guided by award-winning children’s book author, Joyce Raimondo, explore the art studios of acclaimed artists in East Hampton. On your studio tour, look at amazing art together, meet the artists, and create your own one-of-kind masterpieces. Following each workshop is a book-signing.

For children ages four to twelve and adults

Hershey’s, Reeses Pieces, M & M’s, and more! Picture your favorite candy wrappers in yummy fun-filled pictures by Laura Benjamin. Learn all about how Laura turns treats into art. Then make your own masterpiece out of popular candy wrappers. 

Laura Benjamin is an award-winning art educator whose diverse accomplishments include textile design, computer graphics, and fine art. Her current work transforms "junk" food wrappers into stunning depictions of people, places, and still-life images.

COLORFUL CREATURES at EUNICE GOLDEN'S STUDIO

Where can you find dancing cats, colorful fish, and a dog with furry ears? Discover creative creatures featured in Eunice Golden’s amazing famous paintings. Then, create your own real or imagined animals using fake fur, animals print paper, and more.

Eunice Golden is an internationally recognized artist whose works are in The Museum of Modern Art, NY, Guild Hall of East Hampton, Hudson River Museum among others. Noted for her groundbreaking feminist work of the 70’s, Eunice is also an abstract and figurative artist whose paintings are filled with splendor and originality.

STARRY NIGHT STUDIO

Imagine giant cats floating in the sky or fish that fly above your bed! Enter a dream journey as you explore paintings created by acclaimed illustrator, Frank Sofo. Meet the artist, and share stories about what you see in imaginative art. Then, create your own fantasy picture using decorative papers, glittery materials, paint, and more.

Acclaimed children’s book illustrator and artist, Frank Sofo has created cover art for the famous Nancy Drew and Hardy Boy’s series and numerous children’s books. Also an author whose imagination soars, his brilliantly illustrated books include Vincent and Veronica -- a fictional story inspired by van Gogh and an imaginary cat -- and the upcoming Ship of Forgotten Dreams.
